Our main focus is to change our community with a daily involvement rather than filling our pews with a weekly obligation. We want to focus on the identity of our new neighborhood surrounding Mt. Mercy. The church will become the hub of the neighborhood by providing services that will meet the community’s social, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. |

July 1, 2009: we've joined our new neighborhood at 25th Street NE. What a beautiful neighborhood with vibrant people.
It is good to know we are now in our 'permanent facility' since leaving our flood-destroyed building in June 2008. Meeting in temporary locations has been challenging, but we're looking forward to getting to know our new neighbors and serving them, and hopefully surprising them by our "their interests first" approach to ministry.
One of the first "their needs first" events we're offering is a free week-long VBS June 20-24. It'll be fun for the neighborhood kids to have a chance to have a little structured summer fun, get out from in front the TV or gaming system, and get to know some of the other kiddos they haven't met yet.
